BENCH JOINER – FULL TIME
We are looking for a reliable, detailed-oriented individual to join our team as a Bench Joiner. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembling high-quality timber windows and doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble timber windows and doors from pre-machined components.
- Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and project information.
- Fit modern window and door ironmongery including espagnolettes, hinges and handles.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment including:
- Power tools: routers, drills, sanders
- Light machinery: mortisers, wide belt sanders, bandsaws
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven joinery experience in window and door assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good mathematical ability, particularly for measuring and fitting.
- Strong time management skills – able to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to identify different wood species and their properties.
- Good communication skills.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
Working hours and pay:
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
- Hourly rate: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
(Equivalent to £33,280 – £37,440 per annum) - Bonus: Performance-related bonus of up to £2,000 per annum
- Overtime: Available and paid accordingly
- Pension: Company pension scheme with 3% employer and 5% employee contributions
- Holiday: 29 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
